Production Manager- Sports
Description
SUMMARY
Product & Production Manager, Sports, will lead the sourcing, development, and production of our golf product line, from design handoff to delivery. This role will be responsible for managing the product calendar, ensuring that we meet key market dates, and coordinating with the design, production, and sales teams, as well as external vendors and partners. The role will focus on organization, accuracy, and execution across the full product lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Design and tech pack creation: oversee the design process, create and update tech packs, and conduct fabric and trim research.
• Sample approval: manage and track samples, approve fabric, color, fit, and trim, and communicate feedback and revisions.
• Line sheets: Coordinate all the details for approved styles, create and update line sheets, and ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Photography: Coordinate on and off-figure photography, select and style products, review and approve images
• Product knowledge: Create and deliver product knowledge materials and train sales staff on product features and benefits.
• Showroom merchandising and set up: plan and execute showroom layout and display, ensure product availability and presentation.
• Liaise with the Product Development, Design, and Tech team to facilitate the Production calendar in a timely manner, to maintain the entire product lifecycle.
• Marketing coordination: liaise with the marketing team to align product strategy and messaging and provide product information and assets.
• Oversee sourcing and development with vendors, including fabrics, trims, and packaging.
• Manage and track samples, approve fabric, color, fit, and trim, and communicate feedback and revisions.
• Ensure accurate fits are achieved through clear communication and timely approvals.
• Monitor production progress with vendors, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving delays or quality issues as needed.
• Liaise with the Product Development, Design, and Tech team to facilitate the production calendar in a timely manner, to maintain the entire product lifecycle.
• Maintain organized product information and ensure accuracy across all approved styles.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in the apparel industry, product development and Management
• Strong knowledge of Golf industry trends, products, and Customers
• Passion for golf and delivering high-quality products.
• Proficient with all Microsoft programs (especially Excel) and experience using inventory management software.
• Advanced level in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required.
• Able to function work both team and individual depending on the operation’s need.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work within tight guidelines.
• High level of problem-solving ability and extremely detailed and Goal oriented.
